Collection: Intervention Supports through Minilessons, Number Strings and Games

All of the Contexts for Learning Mathematics units are filled with low-floor, high-ceiling investigations that provide multiple entry points and learning possibilities to ensure access and equity for all students. While each CFLM unit includes minilessons and/or games to support automatization of the basic facts, the Minilessons Books provides opportunities for guided, small group work as well. Pairing this collection with our Personalized Professional Support System (P2S2) provides teachers with guidance about differentiating in powerful ways during conferrals. With this collection, teachers can provide additional support and thoughtful practice as they pair the Contexts for Learning Mathematics units with these amazing instructional routines that support number sense and provide additional intervention support for students based on where students are developmentally. Each Minilessons book contains 80-100 number strings to support numeracy development in whole class or small group settings. Games books are best geared towards K-2 and provide opportunities to assess students' development as well as provide additional practice that supports the development of the most important big ideas and strategies at those grades.
