Measuring for the Art Show - Addition on the Open Number Line (1st Grade)

Introduces measurement with non-standard units to emerge the open number line model and prepares the way for examining 2-digit numbers, magnitude, number relations, landmark numbers, and addition up to 100. This unit needs to be done BEFORE addition with double digit work starts.
